What makes a city? What makes a town?
Cupertino has fine houses and restaurants yet no one goes to Cupertino to stroll. Same is true with many other former towns in Silicon Valley. Their attractiveness was destroyed by the effects of urban sprawl enabled by the automobile.
North Los Gatos provides an alternative.
First providing magnets to draw people and then supporting the magnets with a nearby neighborhood, medical center, and downtown; all linked by usable transit.
