Mark,

I enjoyed seeing what your vision for the"north forty" entails. However, I

think you need to address a known fact: Los Gatos is considered relatively

affordable with an outstanding school district. Our schools currently are

overcrowded and if new housing developments are built, there is a high

likelyhood of families or young couples moving in. We are anticipating the

overcrowding to continue, especially with the anticipated year 2000 babies.

I think you need to address the issue of 10 acres for a school site. This

school site would not only pull from the houses on the north forty property,

but from the surrounding neighborhoods; thereby adding a greater community

feel to the property. Far more than homes or commercial development or

pedestrian walkways, a school provides a center. It becomes the

neighborhood park after hours and weekends with basketball, baseball and

playground gatherings.

Please consider adding this to your plan. Thank you. Jennifer Gifford
